Web Developer for Simulation (SBD 02)

Romania, Cluj Full-time

At Simbound, we promote the use of tested, scalable, and efficient technology. Our R&D activities in Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania, result in world-class products used around the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, and maintain advanced web applications in PHP.
  • Design and implement back-end solutions, including database integration, external -service integration, and other system components.
  • Optimize and monitor application performance and resolve application issues.
  • Ensure high-quality code, follow best programming practices, and ensure security compliance.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a team and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Knowledge of PHP, Laravel/Symfony, MySQL/MariaDB databases.
  • Good knowledge of version control systems (preferably Git, CI/CD).
  • Experience with REST APIs and documentation tools (e.g., Swagger).
  • Experience with test environments such as PHPUnit.

As a Simbound simulation developer, you will work as part of a small team on building the latest digital business simulation systems. Upon application, you will have gained 1-3 years of experience in web development and can demonstrate working prototypes or past work which will aid in your application. What is the hiring process like?

Our process is straightforward: application review, a short introductory call, a skills-focused interview (technical or case-based depending on the role), and a final culture-fit conversation with the team. Most processes wrap up within 2–3 weeks.

Do you offer remote positions?

Yes! While our headquarters are in Brussels, many of our roles are remote-friendly within European time zones. Some positions may require occasional on-site collaboration — this will be clearly stated in the job description.
